I’ve really found my homemaker side since my partner and I moved into our little rented 2 bedroom cottage a few weeks ago, so look out for more of these type of posts in weeks to come! This post is about some kitchen purchases.
My bank card has felt a lot of abuse these last few weeks, mainly from Dunelm. I’d class the store as midway between Primark and Next and I flipping love it! Always bargains and goodies to be had!
The cottage has been quite well looked after and modernized with a full new kitchen and nicely painted lounge walls and up lighters, with the added bonus of French doors into the yard.
The kitchen was the easiest room to add home furnishings too. With modern units, I’ve tried to give it a cottage feel with farm animal references and quirky items, but minus cluttering. I like sculptures and such, but too many annoy me.
So here’s a brief montage of the sort of items I’ve purchased for our kitchen:
- Hen egg holder, Matalan
- Animal stack ornament, Matalan
- Home clock from Dunelm (bargin at £10!)
- 2 seater bistro breakfast set from Wilkinsons
- Vase, a moving in present from Next.
- Flowers, fake, from Dunelm.
