As mentioned in a previous update about post-pregnancy clothing purchases and fashion after pregnancy, I’ve tried to buy into seasonal trends, such as cowboy boots, but also into versatile items such as Chelsea boots, when it comes to post-pregnancy footwear choices.
I’ve mainly being looking at flat footwear, as with S/S on the way and the thought that I’ll mostly be pushing a pram around, I’ll def have a need for comfort, but also wanted to keep ‘on trend’.
So, here are my current purchases:
Beige studded biker boots = River Island = I loved these as soon as I saw them. They will go well with denim shorts, plus I think a maxi dress could work well and not forgetting my trusty skinny jeans.
Brown Cowboy Boots = EBay = These lovelies I found on EBay. You can’t see in the picture, but they do have a little heel, just to give some height. Another quite versatile item like the biker boots.
Black suede Chelsea Boots = EBay = The search for these felt never ending, but I eventually found these which were exactly the style and material I wanted. Again, not really shown on the picture, but they do have a slight heel.
Flat Buckle and Studded Ankle boots/shoes = Dorothy Perkins (sale) = I’m actually still undecided on these. I think until I can wear them and try with outfits I won’t be 100% sold. They were a impulse buy/a ‘not caroline’ buy.
White and Gold T Bar Flats = Miss Selfridge (sale) = One of my only ‘summer’ shoe purchases. I love the gold ankle strap and thought they can be dressed up or down.
Brown Rope Flats = New Look =I actually have these in black, but I do love New Look flats, they’re so comfy. These I think will team well with boyfriend jeans for a casual look.
I’m still on the lookout for some more ‘summer’ style shoes/flats for my post-pregnancy footwear collection. I currently have the Topshop Maisy T-Bar pointed shoes in my ‘save for later’ basket that I’m umming and ahhing over.
I’d also like some new small wedge cork type gladiator style sandals. I have some Next ones that I actually hardly wore last year, but the heel is quite big, so could do with downscaling.
My last ‘wish’ shoe is some black hi-tops. I have some white ones from River Island, which I love, but feel black ones will be a bit more subtle for certain outfits.
