Bourjois Volume I Seconde Mascara – Ad

Firstly, I must confess that, although it being one of my items to take to a desert island, I’m not very adventurous when it comes to mascara, I like what I like and I seem to stick to it.

However, when an email dropped into my inbox asking if I wanted to try the new Bourjois mascara, I thought why not, my lashes are surely due a change.

First impressions. Let’s talk about the packaging, the chrome – I love it. I’m a magpie. Sorry, not sorry. Personally, it makes the product feel more ‘expensive’.

Upon opening the mascara I was intrigued by the brush and it’s “..wraparound spherical bristles”. With Bourjois taking inspiration from professional round hairbrushes, the combination of bristles with the wraparound spheres and straight bristles help achieve the volume from every angle. Amazing.

After using this mascara, I wouldn’t say I’ve fallen in love with it, but I’ll definitely continue to use it, with a thought to repurchase. The brush is quite bulky and the spheres and bristles do hold a lot of product, so I did find it was a little clumpy. But I could see how the spheres worked with separating the lashes and coating them. I very happy with the volume that this mascara provides, it definitely lives up to its name.

*Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume Mascara is available in Boots and Superdrug and comes in intense black and intense black waterproof, all in time for holiday and festival season! Priced at a very reasonable £9.99.

oooh this looks good! I tend to stick to the same mascaras – Clinique high definition during the day (and it's discontinued, so every few weeks I'm frantically scouring the net trying to find it), an DiorShow at night xx
