North East Bloggers Charity Tea Party.
I love attending blog meets when I can. Having a child it is about logistics, but I make what I can. It’s so lovely to actually meet people face to face who you chat to across social networks. Plus I always love a drive out!
Having been well over a year since my last blog meet, I was thoroughly looking forward to heading ‘up Norf’ to be part of Danni and Kloe’s Charity Tea Party at WALKABOUT in Middlesbrough (which is basically a Weatherspoons).
Having been asked prior to the date to bring some form of homemade baked goodie to snaffle whilst mingling and chatting, my offering was Disney themed cupcakes and plain cookies. They seemed to go down pretty well, which is always a good sign!
The tables were filled with a variety of baked goods, we quite literally didn’t know where to start.
Cupcakes, rocky roads, marble cake, not to mention good ole cornflake cake filled the tables. We quite literally didn’t know where to start. But where there’s a will there’s a way and we of course, filled our plates.
As well as eating cake and talking, there was a raffle in aid of Macmillan Cancer Research, which raised £56.50, with some great prizes from Tara’s Talons, Unicorn Alley, Creative Tops and Lush Middlesbrough.
Danni and Kloe, with the help of some great brands, had put together some lovely goodie bags for us. So thanks to:
- Paul Mitchell,
- Kiss Lashes,
- Sweet Cecilys,
- Blond and Brown,
- Metcalfe’s Skinny,
- Vivid Matcha Drinks,
- Treasured Magpie.
A lovely day had by all. With many thanks to Danni and Kloe for organising a great meet, I look forward to the next.
