01 – It’s been good to get back into a routine. Don’t get me wrong, little boy and I love having daddy at home, but, they do kinda mess with your mojo after a while! We’ve enjoyed a few play dates with friends. It’s been nice to catch up with the mummies after the busy festive season. Plus see what the little ones got from Santa.
It’s scary, but also amazing what the pick up on and learn and how quickly. We’ve started having to remember to lock the outside doors, as he now can reach them and follows you outside. His vocabulary is also slowly coming on. Mummy, Daddy, No, Choo-Choo, tractor, Baa (sheep) and moo are what comes out in actual English. He’s chatting and talking non stop, but, most is unrecognizable still. You can only guess what he means.
We’re still loving Jake and the Neverland Pirates, but have a new love for Thomas The Tank Engine. However, we don’t really watch it. He just likes trains. If anyone knows Sheriff Cali, from the Disney Channel, he also loves this and join in with the ‘yee haa’ part of the theme tune.
02 – Home wise, as quickly as the job of decorating was mentioned, it was forgotten! Ha! So that’s not been sorted yet. We also are waiting to hear back from our neighbour about him finding a friend of his to order in and fit our new internal doors. I’m also waiting to hear back on a company I found on Facebook called Hand Made Chunky Wood Furniture who I’m hoping are going to make a hallway unit for me. I’ll post a picture of it, once it’s here. They’re based in Lincolnshire and don’t deliver, so we need to hire a van to pick it up. Which, we don’t mind, as it’s still the cheaper option. I can’t find anything like it anywhere. Plus it’s custom built and made of proper wood, not flimsy mdf.
03 – Oh it feels good to be back in a routine. Not just day to day, but fitness wise and Bootcamp. It’s amazing what structure can do. I have to admit, Bootcamp hasn’t been easy this first week. I definitely lost some stamina and also running ability, but I’m nowhere back to square one. My recovery time is still quick. I’m looking forward to next week.
I’ve also started back doing The Lean Machines 10 minute Arms Workout video (HERE) most days this week. So I just need to keep it up. Plus I’ve starting using My Fitness Pal app again, to log my food intake.
