La Redoute mantra is to make French styling possible to anyone, with clothes, including plus-sized and children’s, that fit and flatter. Not to mention a homeware section that will really make you feel all Parisian. They also know how to party.
When an email to attend La Redoute’s Summer Party dropped in my email box I was excited and intrigued. More intrigued by the secrecy, as they weren’t disclosing the location of the event, only that transport to and from the location was being put on and that we were to meet at the station at a specific time. Ooo the mystery! But I was also intrigued and looking forward to learning a bit more about the brand, as it’s not really one that was on my radar, apart from knowing Laura works for them and she’s always wearing killer pieces by them.
The mystery destination turned out to be the amazing New Craven Hall and La Redoute really made great use of the space. We were welcomed and given drink upon arrival, a DJ had some fab music on the go too. La Redoute had also set up an area showcasing some of their homewares and at the bar we were given the choice of three wonderful sounding cocktails. The brick walls also made great backdrops for outfit shots.
They had brought a selection of clothing from their current collection, allowing us the chance to try on pieces and have our photos taken by professional photographer David Lindsay, that had set up and had plenty of props to have a giggle with. I loved this idea as it gave you the chance to see the clothes in ‘real life’ apposed to online and I was really amazed by the quality of the materials. A few pieces caught my eye, but I settled on trying a dress. I know right, who am I!? It was a shift style, green, with long sleeves and a bib like detail with a few buttons on the front. Even on, I was surprised by how much I liked it. Only really taking it of as I was conscious that I had white legs! (it’ll be coming in an outfit post soon, so keep your eyes peeled)
La Redoute really pulled out the stops on the party front, with a popcorn table, with sauces and sprinkles, which went down a treat after some lovely appetisers that came round, including an amazing curry. But it was the arrival of the Ice-Cream van that really sealed the deal. Yes, an Ice-Cream van. With the choice of any Ice-Cream we wished. Best.Party.Ever. Also on hand, no pun intended were a couple of ladies giving hand massages with some gorgeous products from Molton Brown.

It was thoroughly enjoyed. A great opportunity, as always, to catch up with some lovely ladies, meet some new ones and also put faces to names/blogs. I loved the concept of surprises, it made it exciting and also gave us all something to talk about across social media.
I’m really grateful to have been invited and also for being able to keep my lovely green dress. Since being home I have spent a considerable amount of time on La Redoute’s website and have a few things ‘saved’ including this jumper and this gorgeous blouse.
Many thanks again to the La reroute team. Make sure you check out their Autumn Collection, my ‘saved’ list is getting longer.
