The Potting Shed, Beverley.

Bingley was always going to be a bit of a trek to visit just for a bar, but it was still on my list. Then I found out the news that they were opening closer. So hello The Potting Shed Beverley.

With following many bloggers from the Leeds area, I’d read many a review of The Potting Shed and each time I wrote a similar comment along the lines of, ‘This looks so cute/different/amazing, I really need to visit!‘ And as true to my word as I could make it, it was added firmly to my list of places to visit.

So when I was invited to the VIP Opening of their new branch, The Potting Shed Beverley, I jumped at the opportunity, dragging a friend along with me and it was a fantastic night.

The Potting Shed has fully refurbished and restored this run down former pub, with it’s trademark decor including those oh so cute and instagrammable sheds.

The upstairs bar and seating area, without a doubt was my favourite. It was a cross between walking into a garden and a jungle. Greenery everywhere. This area then leads out onto a balcony seating/eating area. We enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon sun, drinking our cocktails, watching as the place started to fill. Oh and Anton from XFactor walked in. Yes, I got a selfie.

Downstairs is another large bar/seating area, with a stage area for live acts. The decor definitely reflects the name and theme. Everywhere you look is something garden themed, with the upside down watering cans being my favourite feature. There was also some food being served and brought round. We sampled some pizza and onion rings and they were very yummy.

Outside were their colourful sheds, which you’ll be able to book to dine/drink in, then another generously sized seating area. There was obviously still a little bit of work to do outside, however it was still really pleasant to sit and admire the building. It’s definitely somewhere that I can see myself, friends and the hubby even, sitting and enjoying some food and drinks.

During the evening Anton and Alicia from XFactor took to the stage area to sing a few songs and there were also a few other famous faces floating around.

It was a fabulous evening and I’m very grateful to have been invited and look forward to returning very soon to sample the food. The pulled pork nachos are a must-have to try!

Ah, I love the 'original' Potting Shed in Bingley, but his one looks lovely too – love the ceiling-greenery! 🙂
