Ladies I Have Fallen In Love With.

Thirty Plus Bloggers.

It’s taken a while (years) for me to find my place in the mad world we call the blogging community.

I think I’ve spoken before about when I first began, up until the last couple of years, I can’t help but feel so much older than those around me. Don’t get me wrong, the blogs I read back then and read now are brilliant and the ladies lovely as ever, but somethings they wrote about just weren’t relatable to me. Life wise, beauty-wise, fashion-wise.

Over the years I’ve lost, loved, got a house, married, had a child, and so much else in-between. I didn’t seem to follow or have people with similar life experiences or common ground on my timeline and blog reading roll.

But being ever-present, or as much as life allows, I’m loving it.

The thirty-plus community, in particular, has been all kinds of fabulous. It’s inclusive for anyone over thirty years ago, blogging about whatever takes your fancy. Not only has it made me feel actually ‘part of’ something, given me a shed load of blogs to read, but also the possibility to connect and become friends with some truly inspirational, beautiful and wonderful people.

So here are my favourite and go to thirty plus bloggers.

VICTORIA. This lady is on FIYA! Beautiful lady Victoria. The amazing lady behind the double award-winning Apartment Number 4.

You know, that’s pretty brilliant to write, never mind how it must feel for Victoria to say it. Two awards are quite an achievement, however, if you’ve visited Victoria’s site and read her content (if you haven’t, get clicking!) you can surely agree with me, that this lady and site deserves many many MANY more dust collecting awards!

An Interior design lead site, Victoria’s photography and pictures are what I can only describe as ‘goals’. Light. Bight. Perfectly composed. They make me want everything!

Recently adding a weekly newsletter to her list of achievements, I can honestly say that I always look forward to it dropping in my inbox. And something I definitely need to get on board with myself.

Awards and fame haven’t changed Victoria. Haha. Having finally had the opportunity to meet Victoria, in real life, earlier this year after always being someone I connected with online, I can confirm she is an absolutely wonderful person. Someone that I’d love to be able to spend more time with and go for drinks with.

STEPHANIE. The fabulous lady behind the wonderful blog that is Priceless Life Of Mine.

THE most relatable blog I know. I know some people dislike the word relatable. But Steph’s blog is the perfect example of that to me. The content is individual. Simply written. And very much Steph. She follows no trends. She’s a true and honest lady, with a life and although she apologises when life gets in the way of her blogging when she really shouldn’t, it’s lovely to see and remember that, people and you yourself are allowed lives. Blogging is not the be-all and end-all.

As well as her brilliant blog, Steph is a must-follow on Instagram. Definitely InstaStories. For giggles, drinks, sneak peeks of her lovely home and life updates. Steph really makes the most of this platform.

I have yet to meet Steph, in real life. However, it is very much on the agenda for 2018. Shopping and food included. I have no doubt that we’ll get on like a house on fire.

DEBS. You’ve been under some rock to not have heard of this wonderful and brilliantly talented in so many ways lady and owner of Bang On Style.

A haven for anyone who loves a bit of DIY, with both seasonal posts, her latest featured in the above picture, but also general DIY posts for the home and clothes.

On a personal level, one reason I am always checking Debs blog is for her fantastic content on the Olympus Pen. From reviews of the EPL7 to the new  EPL8. A post dedicated to showcasing the pros and cons of 10 lenses for your pen camera. Plus general photography content around tips and tricks, which, I just love.

You may or may not know that Debs uses her love of photography, which is evident throughout her blog to earn a living, by being the fashion photographer for the likes of fab bloggers like Hannah Gale.

I love Deb’s easy, friendly writing style and the varied content she produces. She definitely took the right step in becoming a full-time blogger. If there was a blogger that I’d love to become, it would be Debs.

Do you follow these ladies? If not why not! –

I definitely understand how you feel about the blogging world. Though I love reading a range of blogs from people of all ages but there are some subjects that just aren’t relevant to me (uni posts make me feel so old! :D).

I’ve only discovered “Thirty Plus” this year but I’ve loved finding new blogs to follow by ladies in similar life stages.

I’m off to check out the blogs you featured! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I totally agree with this post and can understand totally. I have only been blogging a year, and when I started I felt so much older than everyone (I’m 44). I knew nobody that wrote a blog, so felt so alone! Slowly, I have built a little group of “friends” and they make my blogging journey a much happier ride! Even my local blogging scene, which in Essex is a young bunch, have been lovely to me and include this old girl in meet ups. I am slowly finding my way. I follow both Victoria and Steph so totally agree with you, they are fab. I will have a look at your other suggestion.

Caroline, you wonderful lady. I’m so touched that you have featured me and alongside the fabulous Debs and Victoria, I’m honoured. It’s important that we all help, encourage and support fellow bloggers so thank you so much and a meet up is most definitely on the cards, in fact I can’t wait!
    Much love to you

I feel you … at 46 , nearly 47, I always thought I didn’t fit in the blogging world. But then I’ve never really fit in anyway and I kinda like it that way.
I’ve started going to Sheffield meet ups and it not too bad , I just joke that I could be their mums.
It does help if you have some blogger friends who support and understand you. I have a few though I’ve not met any of them . I’d call Steph one of them .
    Lovely positive post .
