READ ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN DECEMBER.

Catch up on a few words about what happened in our December.

To be honest, this month has been a total blur really and I have to give thanks to my diary and phone for telling me what has gone on.

What’s Been Happening.

I don’t know about you, but as soon as the 1st December rolls around, our Christmas decorations are up! Yes, I am THAT person. How my late mum lastest until the day after my birthday (the 16th) to put our Christmas decorations up I don’t know! As I get my love of Christmas from her! From then all we were in full Christmas mode. Watching Arthur Christmas, plus the brilliant new film Christmas Chronicles at least every Saturday and Sunday. We spent a couple of hours at a Christmas event our council put on at the Open Air Theatre, with local/independent business stalls, a mini funfair, ice skating and lots of yummy festive food. The eldest took part, as a cow, in his first school Christmas production. Not quite a lead role, but we have a few years to work towards it. It was so lovely to see him and all his friends take part.

Our favourite and mainly only Santa visits of the year are to Piglets Adventure Park, near York and Castle Howard. You can have a read about them here, In a post a wrote about a few places we’ve visited.

With our anniversary and my birthday falling days apart, we decided to go out. Oh yes. We hit the town – well, Sanctuary Bar for some food – for a couple of hours. I’d really wanted to try their homemade pizzas, but instead chose the Southern Fried Chicken burger, which was delish, with the husband happily ordering and devouring his staple of the steak. This wasn’t to be my only birthday celebration though, a couple of friends and I booked to visit Filey Bistro for their Festive Afternoon Tea. It did not disappoint. I know cute is a weird description of an afternoon tea, but along with very yummy, that’s what I’m going with.

Then Christmas arrived. And also left just as quick! Ours was spent as and with family at home as it always is. I can’t imagine being anywhere else. Santa was good to us all this year.

Missed Something. Some Thoughts.

A couple of blog posts went live this month, one being an updated post about local chocolatier Amelia, which you can Read Here. Definitely make sure you visit if in Scarborough! The second post was a very Christmas one about Christmas Eve Boxes, what the boys had in theirs this year.

I know, as you read this it’s 2019, so I’d like to say a really big heartfelt Thank You, so every single person that has read my ramblings this year. That quick read, long browse and or comment or two really does make my day. So thank you.
