5 Things That Happened Last Month.

March has been another month of celebrations and spending and quite a long month in some respects. But it’s been well spent, with many memories being made and that, that is my mantra this year. Making memories.

  1. I have a 9-month-old. It’s becoming a little too real that in three months time I’ll have a 1-year-old. The eldest is loving him in so many new ways as his independence grows. Add to this that our eldest turned six this month and the madness continues! He got some lovely gifts, though still needs to learn to tell the time to use his new watch! And thoroughly enjoyed his football party with his friends, which was taken by local business Hawkes Health .
  2. It’s been a great month socially. Back to baby groups and seeing our friends. Plus, there was a little meal out with some mummy friends to a local restaurant I’ve wanted to try for a little while. It was a really lovely evening and plan a return with the husband.
  3. Hair appointment! Finally. I’ve been rocking the roots and the greys too long. I also had some bangs cut in either side, which, even now, weeks on, I’m still liking. I’ve had so many people comment ‘Ooo, your hair looks nice. It’s very dark.’ I reply that yes, it is, but it’s the normal colour/shade I have and is just that I haven’t had it coloured in eight months! On another personal/appearance point, I also met my newest weight target. So am now on the 9lbs countdown to pre-pregnancy weight and I could not be happier.
  4. Pancake day/Shrove Tuesday/Skipping day, whatever you may call it. It was late this year, but it was still enjoyed none the less. We call it skipping day in our town, as that’s what we do. A 100-year-old tradition of the children going down the beach and skipping. Not being one to upset a tradition, this is what I did and it is what the boy, now boys and I have done. However, we always add in a stop at the Harbour Bar for ice cream and a go on the 2p machines.
  5. Mother’s Day. Always bittersweet. I’m a mother myself now, but sadly I can’t escape the fact that my mum is no longer here. And that can sadly rule my thoughts. Making the mass marketing run up to the day even harder to deal with. But, I had a lovely day with my boys and nothing can take that away from me.

Sounds like a fab month hun! Love how much your eldest loves your youngest. I’d love to have this… Just not for a few years yet. Haha!

Haha! I think they’ll definitely have a love/hate relationship. And yes, maybe at least get to two years with an impending three-nager and think about it then! :p x
