May, where did you go, my lovely? Where did you go?
Sorry, the 90s nostalgia continues for me.
This month. So many fun times and memories made. I think with the added good weather, although sporadic, it always gives you a fresh attitude. And I am definitely feeling that.
- Celebrations. My eldest enjoyed celebrating two of his friends birthdays this month. A bouncy castle party and a laser tag party. Children’s parties are so fun. I love watching them play and make their own memories. And to be honest, the laser tag parties look SO much fun… I seriously need to get on board with an adult one!
- Here 4 One. A matter of months after my first encounter of Bonkers Bingo and I was back again with two friends, with the added bonus this time of Blazon Squad, MC Keyes and FlipnFill. My suppressed inner 90’s cheese-loving self had THE best time and at 30+ years, you’re never too old for photos! – Now, what’s on next?
- Food. Our latest mummy meal rolled around and I couldn’t have been looking forward to it more since I suggested it be at The Garden Centre. I feel Instagram is such an influence to me recently. It seems to be the source of me recommending a few things recently. But seriously, after I saw a picture of The Garden Shed’s hanging kebabs, it was only a matter of time before I visited. The evening with the mummies was lovely as always.
- Malton food festival was back this month. They have monthly food festivals in the town, but the one at the end of May is always a bigger affair and well worth the visit to anyone in the surrounding area. Last year I was heavily pregnant waddling around! Sadly this year we weren’t able to make it this year, but I heard great things and the weather was especially nice on the Saturday. I may pop along to one of their monthly ones.
- Seen a good number of friends this month, which has been lovely. Being a stay home mum, it’s easy to be and feel secluded. So getting out and about is a necessity, not just from a social aspect of your baby/toddler, but yourself too. I love making plans with people and having adult time.
